Role summary
Medtronic seeks a Principal Training and Education Specialist to develop and deliver onboarding and advanced training programs for Mapping Specialists supporting the Affera™ Mapping and Ablation System across Western Europe. This home-based role requires deep expertise in electroanatomical mapping and a passion for translating complex clinical concepts into impactful learning experiences.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 7+ years relevant experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years experience
- 5-7 years hands-on experience with electroanatomical mapping and cardiac ablation procedures
- Expertise with Affera™, CARTO™, EnSite™, Rhythmia™, or similar mapping platforms
- Strong knowledge of electrophysiology procedures, cardiac anatomy, and mapping workflows
- Experience delivering training, coaching, or educational programs to clinical or technical audiences
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in matrixed environments
- Fluent in English; willing to travel approximately 50% across Western Europe
What you'll be doing
- Lead and facilitate instructor-led onboarding and advanced training programs for Mapping Specialists across Western Europe
- Track trainee progress through learning pathways including course completion, simulator training, assessments, and field development milestones
- Partner with regional Mapping Specialists, Sales, Marketing, and Global Training teams to coordinate and execute training programs
- Deliver subject matter expertise and experience-based coaching to develop Mapping Specialists' knowledge, skills, and confidence
- Identify regional learning needs and provide feedback to global partners for training material adaptation and localization
