Role summary
Medtronic seeks a Principal Software Engineer to lead the 3D visualization architecture for the Prism Mapping cardiac electrophysiology platform. - Track record shaping visualization architecture for complex products across multiple releases
- Experience leading large cross-functional technical initiatives and defining technical direction
- Experience in regulated environments preferred

- Lead architecture for Prism Mapping 3D visualization stack including OpenGL pipeline, GPU resource management, and real-time performance
- Define multi-release visualization direction for new clinical modalities and rendering capabilities
- Set engineering standards for rendered output visual fidelity, latency, determinism, and testability
- Mentor senior engineers, drive root cause analysis on complex rendering and performance problems
- Drive technical alignment across software, systems, quality, product, and cross-functional teams
