Abbott seeks a Principal Software Architect to define and govern the architecture strategy for a large-scale, multi-product cloud-native platform on Microsoft Azure. Deep expertise in cloud-native design patterns: microservices, service mesh, event sourcing, CQRS, DDD, Kubernetes
Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, GraphQL, and distributed messaging systems
Extensive knowledge of Azure services: AKS, API Management, Event Hub, Service Bus, IoT Hub, Cosmos DB, Functions

What you'll be doing

Define architectural vision, roadmap, standards, and technology strategy for multi-product cloud-native platform
Design highly scalable, resilient, secure distributed systems supporting millions of transactions and connected devices
Lead architecture for event-driven microservices using domain-driven design, API-first approach, and asynchronous patterns
Establish enterprise-wide architecture principles covering security, scalability, compliance, performance, and cost optimization
Mentor senior engineers and architects while driving architectural excellence and conducting design authority reviews
