Role summary
Cytiva seeks a Principal Automation Architect to define architecture, standards, and design patterns for Siemens PCS 7 automation solutions. - Expert-level proficiency with Siemens PCS 7 architecture, engineering standards, integration, and application-library design
- Experience translating product, cybersecurity, and system requirements into scalable automation architectures
- Working knowledge of industrial communication and integration technologies
- Ability to guide multidisciplinary engineering teams across multiple development programs
- Willingness to travel up to 20% including international and overnight trips
What you'll be doing
- Lead solution architect for Siemens PCS 7, owning platform architecture across programs from concept through delivery
- Define and maintain platform standards, reference architectures, and reusable application libraries aligned with enterprise needs
- Design secure, scalable, resilient automation solutions across IT and OT environments with system integration and data management
- Provide technical leadership on complex development programs, resolve cross-system architecture issues, and guide engineering teams
- Partner with product management, cybersecurity, quality, and stakeholders to align technical direction with business and regulatory priorities
