Role summary
Labcorp seeks a part-time phlebotomist for its Bakersfield Patient Service Center location. The role involves collecting blood specimens, processing patient information, and providing customer service across a varied patient population. Monday-Friday 9am-2pm with rotating Saturday hours.
What they're looking for
- Valid California State phlebotomy license or filed application at hire
- High school diploma or GED
- Bilingual Spanish and English proficiency
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- 5+ years phlebotomy experience, preferably in pediatric settings (preferred)
What you'll be doing
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol testing
- Enter patient data accurately and process billing and payments
- Prepare specimens for testing and maintain information logs
- Provide customer service and complete administrative duties; travel to additional sites when needed
Compensation$23.00 - $33.00 per hour
