Role summary
Labcorp seeks a Phlebotomist Float for its Walnut Creek, California location to perform blood collections across multiple sites. What they're looking for
- California state-issued phlebotomy license (CPT) or pending application with CA Department of Health
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 21 years of age with valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Six months or more phlebotomist experience with geriatric and pediatric patients
- Pass standardized color blindness test; reliable transportation available
- One or more years phlebotomy experience preferred; Spanish-English bilingual preferred
What you'll be doing
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups using proper techniques
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic purposes
- Enter patient information, maintain specimen logs, and process billing with accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare specimens for testing and deliver exceptional customer service to patients
- Travel between multiple clinic locations as assigned; complete administrative duties as needed
Compensation$23.00-$33.00 base plus $1.50/hr float incentive and mileage reimbursement; quarterly performance bonus eligible
