Role summary
Johnson & Johnson's Global Oncology Internship Program offers a 12-week summer opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to gain hands-on experience in drug discovery and development. Interns will conduct research under mentorship, learn laboratory and computational techniques, and present findings at an internal research symposium.
What they're looking for
- Currently enrolled undergraduate (minimum 4 completed semesters) or graduate student
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Degree in biology, cell/molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, or computational biology
- Legally authorized to work in US; no sponsorship required
- Must not graduate before, during, or after internship dates (May-August 2027)
- Self-motivated with passion for drug development and oncology research
What you'll be doing
- Design and execute experiments under supervision of senior discovery team members
- Collect and record experimental data with attention to quality and accuracy
- Participate in departmental, team, and cross-functional meetings
- Attend lectures on drug development processes and clinical research pathways
- Prepare and present research findings as poster or abstract at annual symposium
