Role summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Senior Research Scientist in Molecular & Cell Biology to develop and characterize human cellular disease models using stem cells and primary cells. Experience with CRISPR/Cas9, RNA interference, and gene-expression modulation techniques
Strong hands-on capability in stem-cell culture, bioreactors, and laboratory automation platforms
Excellent experimental design, data interpretation, and scientific communication skills

What you'll be doing

Design, execute, and analyze cellular and molecular biology studies for disease modeling and drug discovery
Lead end-to-end iPSC neuronal model development including reprogramming, differentiation, and quality assessment
Develop and optimize scalable cell-based assays for mechanistic studies, screening, and target validation
Apply molecular and functional assays to investigate disease mechanisms and assess therapeutic hypotheses
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate experimental findings with genomic and computational datasets
