Role summary
Amgen seeks a Medical Science Liaison to serve as the primary scientific resource for obesity specialists and healthcare decision makers across Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Washington. The field-based role focuses on peer-to-peer engagement to advance clinical knowledge and support patient outcomes through balanced scientific exchange.
What they're looking for
- Doctorate degree, or Master's degree with 3+ years Medical Affairs experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years Medical Affairs experience
- PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO preferred
- 1+ years Medical Affairs or Scientific Affairs experience at biotech or pharmaceutical company
- 4+ years in medically related field including 1 year clinical practice, research, or post-doctoral training
- Cardiometabolic and/or obesity clinical expertise
- Strong scientific communication and relationship-building skills
What you'll be doing
- Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions with opinion leaders and population health decision makers on obesity and related conditions
- Engage clinical investigators and research sites in support of obesity pipeline development
- Present clinical, scientific, and outcomes data to healthcare institutions and integrated delivery networks
- Support Amgen-sponsored research and serve as study lead or liaison for non-sponsored clinical research
- Lead and participate in congress activities, speaker training, and internal stakeholder briefings on field observations
