Role summary
Amgen seeks a Medical Science Liaison for its obesity therapeutic area, covering Minnesota (excluding Rochester) and North Dakota. The role involves building relationships with healthcare providers and opinion leaders to communicate clinical evidence, support clinical research, and execute medical strategy.
What they're looking for
- Doctorate degree, or Master's degree with 3+ years medical affairs experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years medical affairs experience
- PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO preferred
- 1+ years medical affairs experience preferred
- 4+ years medically related field experience including clinical practice, research, or postdoctoral training preferred
- Current biotech or pharmaceutical scientific/medical affairs experience preferred
- Cardiometabolic and/or obesity expertise preferred
What you'll be doing
- Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions with opinion leaders, healthcare providers, and population health decision makers
- Engage with clinical investigators and research sites supporting obesity pipeline development
- Present clinical, scientific, and economic data to institutional stakeholders and integrated delivery networks
- Support sponsored research activities and serve as study lead when applicable
- Provide field observations and insights to inform internal Amgen strategies and support congress activities
