Role summary
Amgen seeks a Medical Science Liaison for its obesity therapeutic area in Missouri to serve as a scientific resource to healthcare providers and opinion leaders. What they're looking for
- Doctorate degree, or Master's degree with 3+ years Medical Affairs experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years Medical Affairs experience
- Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. preferred
- 1+ years Medical Affairs experience preferred
- 4+ years in medically related field including 1 year clinical practice, research, or post-doctoral training preferred
- Current experience in Scientific or Medical Affairs at biotech or pharmaceutical company preferred
- Cardiometabolic and/or obesity expertise preferred
What you'll be doing
- Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions with obesity opinion leaders, community providers, and population health decision makers
- Engage clinical investigators and research sites supporting obesity pipeline development
- Communicate clinical data and economic outcomes to healthcare institutions and integrated delivery networks
- Support Amgen-sponsored research and serve as study lead when applicable
- Present field observations and clinical insights to internal stakeholders to inform corporate strategy
