Role summary

PTC Therapeutics seeks a Medical Science Liaison to represent the company and its metabolic disease products to key opinion leaders, clinicians, and academic institutions across the Mid-Atlantic region. The role involves building clinical relationships, delivering scientific presentations, and providing market intelligence to support product utilization and business development.

What they're looking for

Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, DNP, MSN, MS) or equivalent credential with minimum 2 years MSL experience
Clinical experience in inborn errors of metabolism, genetics, or rare diseases; phenylketonuria experience preferred
Experience supporting orphan products distributed through specialty pharmacy with patient access coordination
Established ability to build and maintain relationships with KOLs, clinicians, payors, and academic institutions
Strong scientific data interpretation and presentation skills for diverse audiences
Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and scientific writing capability
Valid driver's license, personal vehicle with active insurance, and ability to travel daily and overnight

What you'll be doing

Attend national and regional medical meetings to engage attendees, gather information, and cultivate professional relationships
Deliver fair-balanced, objective clinical presentations to healthcare professionals and payors on product use and safety
Identify and coordinate speakers for advisory boards, symposia, and educational programs using approved materials
Provide management with competitive intelligence, business development insights, and market feedback from field interactions
Establish and maintain relationships with health authorities, KOLs, academic institutions, and patient organizations
