Role summary
This role oversees warehouse operations and inventory logistics for cell and gene therapy manufacturing sites in Boston and Cambridge. The Senior Specialist manages third-party warehouse providers, drug product handling, regulatory compliance, and serves as a subject matter expert for quality and materials management issues.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, supply chain, engineering, or equivalent education and experience
- 2+ years supervisory, team lead, or senior operative experience
- 3+ years supporting materials management in cGMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing
- Proficiency in cGMP compliance, warehouse operations, and cleanroom material control
- Advanced knowledge of ERP, MES, and document management systems
- Ability to lead investigations, manage vendor relations, and drive process improvements
What you'll be doing
- Serve as SME for quality events including deviations, CAPAs, and impact assessments
- Develop and implement SOPs, work instructions, and on-the-job training programs
- Oversee drug product pack, labeling, and serialization equipment operations
- Manage warehouse compliance, temperature monitoring, inventory reconciliation, and cycle counts
- Provide oversight and performance management guidance to managed service provider staff
