Role summary

Eurofins seeks an experienced Materials Analyst to operate transmission electron microscopes and conduct advanced materials characterization for semiconductor and industrial clients. This hands-on production role involves acquiring microscopy images, performing spectroscopic analysis, preparing client reports, and developing analytical protocols in a fast-paced laboratory setting.

What they're looking for

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
Demonstrated expertise operating and analyzing materials with transmission electron microscopy
Experience with TEM sample preparation and hard materials characterization
Solid understanding of electron microscopy, semiconductor device physics, and failure analysis
Familiarity with aberration-corrected TEM and FEI tools preferred
Experience with Oxford/Bruker EDS, Gatan EELS, or Digital Micrograph software advantageous

What you'll be doing

Acquire TEM and STEM images and spectroscopic data from prepared samples
Perform STEM/EDX and STEM/EELS analysis including line scans and elemental mapping
Organize experimental data and prepare summary reports for customers
Collaborate with customers and team members to optimize experiments and interpret results
Develop and document TEM analysis protocols for new sample types
