Role summary
Amgen seeks an Indirect Tax Compliance Manager in Hyderabad to establish and manage a Center of Excellence for VAT and GST compliance across multiple regions. - 5-6 years VAT compliance or advisory experience in Big Four firms or multinational tax departments
- Knowledge of EU VAT and cross-border VAT/GST outside EU
- Proficiency in SAP, S/4 Hana DRC, and Vertex systems
- Experience with pharmaceutical industry indirect tax operations
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and interpersonal skills
What you'll be doing
- Ensure accurate and timely VAT/GST filings and reporting across regions in compliance with regulations
- Monitor VAT/GST regulatory changes and assess impact on compliance processes and systems
- Implement and maintain automation tools and indirect tax engine to streamline compliance workflows
- Collaborate with regional finance, tax, and business partners to ensure consistent local compliance
