Role summary
Merck seeks a Manager of Data Stewardship for its Hyderabad Technology Center to oversee master data creation and maintenance for manufacturing and supply chain operations. The role combines hands-on data stewardship with leadership of a small team, reporting to the Global Lead and working hybrid three days per week on-site.

- Proven experience in master data management, SAP ECC/S/4, and material master data processes
- Previous team management or leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of GxP principles and manufacturing/supply chain operations
- Proficiency with SAP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent stakeholder management and English communication skills
- Experience with generative AI tools and automation mindset
What you'll be doing
- Execute and oversee master data creation, updates, and maintenance in SAP for manufacturing and supply chain processes
- Lead, develop, and manage a team of 3–8 Data Stewards while remaining operationally involved
- Conduct performance reviews, onboarding, and capability building for direct reports
- Identify and drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement opportunities in master data workflows
- Partner with global leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities and resolve complex data requests
