Role summary
Danaher seeks a senior Labor and Employee Relations Director to provide strategic guidance on complex labor matters across UK and Ireland diagnostics operations. The role shapes employment relations strategy, leads workforce transformations, and advises senior leaders on labor risk and organizational change across multiple legal entities.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in law, human resources, or related field; L.L.M. or master's degree preferred
- 12+ years progressive experience in labor relations, employee relations, or employment law
- Demonstrated expertise in UK employment law, restructuring, TUPE, and collective consultation
- Proven experience leading complex employee relations cases and major organizational change
- Experience developing negotiation strategy with trade unions and employee representative bodies
- Ability to travel up to 25% to support sites and business activities
What you'll be doing
- Shape labor and employee relations strategy for UK and Ireland Diagnostics Operating Companies
- Lead complex employee relations matters including investigations, performance issues, grievances, and terminations
- Own strategy and execution for collective negotiation and consultation with unions and works councils
- Provide senior leadership for workforce reductions, restructurings, TUPE transfers, and organizational transformations
- Build scalable capability across the platform through governance, policies, and standard work development
