Role summary
Danaher seeks a Lead Data Governance Architect to define and drive enterprise data governance architecture and strategy across the organization. The role partners with business and technology leaders to establish standards, policies, and operating models for data management at scale.
What they're looking for
- 7+ years in data management, architecture, governance, or related field
- Strong understanding of data architecture and data management principles
- Experience defining data governance policies, standards, controls, and procedures
- Hands-on knowledge of data lineage, privacy, security, ownership, and stewardship
- Experience with major cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or Snowflake
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR or SOX (preferred)
- Familiarity with governance platforms like Collibra, Purview, Informatica, or Alation (preferred)
What you'll be doing
- Design governance capabilities for data quality, metadata management, cataloguing, lineage, and classification
- Define data ownership, stewardship, accountability, and decision-making models across enterprise
- Develop and maintain target-state data governance and management architecture aligned with enterprise standards
- Establish standards for data domains, critical elements, glossaries, models, products, and flows
- Embed data governance requirements into platforms, applications, analytics, and transformation initiatives
