Role summary
Labcorp seeks a Laboratory Technologist in Phoenix, Arizona to perform clinical laboratory testing procedures, operate instrumentation, and ensure specimen quality and accuracy. The position works Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Science, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience in Flow Cytometry
- Knowledge of Flow Cytometry, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry, and Hematology
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
What you'll be doing
- Assess specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental Standard Operating Procedures
- Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
- Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls; document preventative maintenance and quality control
- Report accurate and timely test results and maintain safe work environment
