Role summary
ResMed seeks a Junior Industrial Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, material flow, and factory layouts using Lean and data-driven methods. What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline
- 0–2 years relevant manufacturing or industrial engineering experience
- Basic understanding of Industrial Engineering and Lean manufacturing principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis
- Knowledge of time study, line balancing, capacity analysis, and process mapping preferred
- AutoCAD or factory-layout design tools experience advantageous
What you'll be doing
- Conduct time studies, cycle-time analysis, and process observations to identify waste and improvement opportunities
- Analyze material flow and develop process maps, spaghetti diagrams, and factory layouts
- Support capacity analysis for production lines, equipment, labor, and material-handling systems
- Apply Lean principles, participate in continuous-improvement projects, and track operational benefits
- Develop engineering documentation, reports, and presentations; collaborate across manufacturing and supply-chain functions
