Role summary
Medtronic seeks a Senior Principal IP Legal Counsel to join its M&A Center of Excellence, providing intellectual property advice and support for complex transactions, due diligence, and strategic investments across the enterprise.

- Juris Doctor from accredited U.S. law school and active bar license
- 8+ years in-house and law firm IP experience, including IP due diligence and M&A negotiations

- Medical device or healthcare technology industry experience preferred
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and client service skills
What you'll be doing
- Negotiate and draft IP and technology agreements for M&A, divestitures, and collaborations
- Evaluate intellectual property portfolios and identify IP litigation and infringement risks
- Provide strategic IP counseling to senior leadership, business development, and operating units
- Collaborate across legal teams and business functions to support M&A activities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while monitoring competitive landscape changes
