Role summary
Gilead Sciences seeks a pharmacovigilance and drug safety intern to support safety surveillance, signal detection, and risk management for CAR-T cell therapies during a summer position. What they're looking for
- Currently enrolled full-time in Bachelor's, Master's, MBA, JD, or PhD program at accredited U.S. university
- Minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA at application and hire
- Independent work authorization in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to commit 10-12 consecutive weeks between May and August
- Willing to work on-site in Parsippany, New Jersey (hybrid arrangement)
- Background in pharmacy, pharmacology, public health, epidemiology, biology, biostatistics, or related field preferred
What you'll be doing
- Support literature surveillance and safety information reviews for drug development programs
- Assist with aggregate safety data analyses and preparation of safety summaries and presentations
- Support signal detection and evaluation activities under guidance of safety scientists
- Conduct targeted research on emerging safety topics and relevant medical literature
- Develop and present a defined summer project addressing pharmacovigilance or drug safety questions
