Role summary
Gilead Sciences seeks an intern to support medical affairs research initiatives focused on HIV prevention therapies. The role involves evaluating research concepts, assisting with Phase 4 clinical studies, and contributing to process improvements across global operations during a 10–12 week summer internship.
What they're looking for
- Enrolled full-time in Bachelor's, Master's, MBA, JD, or PhD program at accredited U.S. university
- Minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA at application and hire
- Currently authorized to work in United States without sponsorship
- Able to commit 10–12 consecutive weeks between May and August
- Willing to work on-site at Foster City location (hybrid arrangement, relocation may be required)
- Preferred: graduate/PhD/PharmD in biostatistics, public health, epidemiology, economics, or data science
- Preferred: proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience in HIV prevention or global health programs
What you'll be doing
- Review and prioritize incoming research proposals for alignment with LEN PrEP prevention strategy
- Assist with protocol implementation, milestone tracking, and support for U.S. Phase 4 PROPEL study
- Enhance internal workflows, documentation, and policy frameworks for late-phase medical affairs research
- Present findings and project outcomes in final presentation at internship conclusion
Compensation$20.00–$55.00 hourly, plus paid holidays, sick time, and housing stipends for eligible employees
