Gilead Sciences seeks an intern to support the Global Regulatory Policy & Intelligence team by researching emerging regulatory approaches for clinical trials and analyzing policy developments from FDA, EMA, and ICH. The role involves evaluating innovative evidence generation methods and synthesizing findings to inform internal regulatory strategy across virology, oncology, and inflammation programs.

What they're looking for

  • Enrolled full-time in Bachelor's, Master's, MBA, JD, or PhD program at accredited U.S. university
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8
  • Current or future U.S. work authorization without sponsorship requirements
  • Ability to commit to 10–12 consecutive weeks between May and August
  • Preferred: Graduate-level degree in biostatistics, regulatory science, epidemiology, or related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

What you'll be doing

  • Research FDA, EMA, ICH regulatory expectations and scientific approaches for clinical trial innovation and evidence generation
  • Evaluate policy developments related to model-informed drug development, adaptive trial designs, and AI-enabled approaches
  • Assess regulatory trends impacting Gilead's clinical development programs in virology, oncology, and inflammation
  • Develop presentations and briefing materials communicating emerging regulatory developments to stakeholders
  • Deliver final presentation summarizing project findings and actionable insights for regulatory strategy
