Role summary
Gilead Sciences seeks an AI/ML intern for the CFO IT department to support research and operations projects. The role involves data science, analytics, and application development in R&D and tech ops environments over 10-12 weeks during summer.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience with cloud platforms, Linux, or CI/CD tools preferred
- Background in Computer Science, Data Science, Biology, Engineering, or related field preferred
What you'll be doing
- Collaborate with Agile teams to understand requirements for R&D and tech operations applications
- Support research data science, advanced analytics, and AI/ML projects including GenAI initiatives
- Build and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and perform data cleaning and transformation
- Develop data visualizations and dashboards to communicate analytical insights to stakeholders
- Present final project work and contribute to solution documentation at internship conclusion
Compensation$20.00 - $55.00 hourly; includes paid holidays, sick time, and housing stipends for eligible employees
