Role summary
Labcorp seeks a Reference Testing Clerk for its Seattle laboratory facility to prepare specimens, process test requests, and manage specimen-related inquiries. - Six months or more specimen processing experience (preferred)
- Six months or more clinical, hospital, or research lab experience (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to accurately identify and handle biological specimens
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
What you'll be doing
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
- Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen-related issues
- Route test requests to appropriate facilities and release results into system
- Process samples for transfer to additional reference laboratories
- Perform sample sorting, racking, retrieving and record log preparation
