Role summary
Merck seeks a Head of Site Management and Monitoring to oversee clinical trial resource management, capacity planning, and monitoring quality across a territory. This leadership role manages 3-12 direct reports and provides indirect oversight of 40-150 clinical research associates, directly supporting country/cluster business objectives and regulatory compliance.

- Bachelor's degree in Science or equivalent healthcare background
- Fluent in local language and business-proficient English (verbal and written)
- Strong ICH-GCP knowledge and understanding of global clinical research guidelines
- Demonstrated people management and leadership experience
What you'll be doing
- Manage country/cluster monitoring resources, capacity assessments, and quality of monitoring deliverables across all projects
- Oversee performance management, recruitment, and development of CRA managers and company CRAs
- Collaborate internally and externally with investigators, vendors, regulators, and pharma partners to develop investigator territories
- Ensure compliance, quality standards, and execution of strategic quality initiatives within monitoring function
- Partner with Monitoring Excellence to develop resource strategies meeting current and future resourcing demands
