Role summary
Cepheid seeks a Government Business Lead to drive revenue growth across India's public healthcare institutions and national health programs. The role combines strategic account management, tender navigation, and stakeholder engagement within government procurement and public health initiatives.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Biotechnology, or related field
- 15+ years diagnostics or healthcare experience with 6-7 years government/public business management
- Proven experience with Central/State Government, NHM, public hospitals, and procurement agencies
- Demonstrated success managing national healthcare programs (NACO, TB, NVHCP, NHM)
- Strong expertise in CPPP, GeM, direct procurement, and end-to-end tender management
- Experience managing channel partners and distributors for government business
- Team management and cross-functional leadership experience
What you'll be doing
- Develop and execute government business strategy to drive revenue across public healthcare institutions and agencies
- Build and manage relationships with Central/State procurement bodies, health departments, medical colleges, and autonomous bodies
- Identify, qualify, and own strategic government accounts including high-value institutional and CARES-funded projects
- Drive tender management across CPPP, GeM, rate contracts, and direct procurement routes with internal coordination
- Appoint, manage, and monitor channel partners while ensuring compliance with performance KPIs and government regulations
