Role summary
Executive Director/Vice President position leading Medical Science and Strategy for metabolic therapeutic area within a clinical research organization. The role requires extensive metabolic expertise to drive strategic initiatives, support business development, and provide medical leadership across RFPs, client engagement, and internal clinical teams.
What they're looking for
- MD or equivalent medical degree
- Board certification in metabolic-related specialty (Endocrinology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine)
- 5+ years pharmaceutical industry experience leading clinical development through registration
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese
- Ability to work effectively in matrix organizations
- Strong presentation and complex communication skills
- Flexibility for domestic and international travel
What you'll be doing
- Ensure quality medical input on significant RFPs including regulatory strategy and protocol considerations
- Engage client senior medical leadership in peer-to-peer discussions and bid defence activities
- Support clinical trial strategy, protocol design, and regulatory documentation development
- Provide therapeutic area training to internal clinical teams and mentor clinical scientists
- Identify business opportunities and develop strategic alliances within metabolic sector
