Role summary
Biogen seeks a Director of Procurement to lead global category strategies and supplier relationships across a ~$600M spend portfolio in clinical development and medical services. The role reports to the Head of Research, Development & Medical Services and requires translating business priorities into procurement strategies while driving cost optimization and vendor value.

What you'll be doing
- Lead global category managers to develop and refresh strategic category plans informed by market signals and internal demand
- Drive supplier relationship management for strategic partners, including governance, performance monitoring, and issue resolution
- Identify value opportunities through spend analytics, market intelligence, and benchmarking to optimize vendor services and reduce costs
- Execute complex global negotiations for master service agreements, rate cards, and commercial terms
- Partner with cross-functional senior stakeholders to coordinate decision-making and ensure business alignment
