Role summary

Amgen seeks a strategic communications leader to independently direct global and U.S. communications for its cardiovascular portfolio, including the drug Repatha and launch readiness for olpasiran. Substantial biotechnology, pharmaceutical or healthcare communications background from peer companies or agencies
Proven track record leading complex, high-visibility communications independently in matrixed environments
Strong capability in integrated communications: earned media, digital, social, advocacy, internal, and issues management
Ability to translate complex scientific and clinical information into clear communications for multiple stakeholder groups
Executive presence with strategic counsel, critical thinking, and influence across functions and geographies

What you'll be doing

Independently lead strategy and execution of global and U.S. communications for Repatha and olpasiran launch readiness
Develop integrated, insight-led communications plans connecting scientific, business and reputation objectives across channels
Provide strategic counsel to business partners on opportunities, risks and stakeholder engagement approaches
Own day-to-day portfolio leadership, triaging deliverables while maintaining focus on highest-value strategic priorities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Commercial, Medical, Value & Access, Government Affairs, Legal and other functions
