Role summary
Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Director of Clinical Pharmacology to lead strategic and scientific aspects of clinical development programs in Boston. - Ph.D. or Pharm.D. in pharmacokinetics, pharmacometrics, clinical pharmacology, or translational development plus 10+ years post-doctoral experience

- 3+ years supervisory or management experience
- Expertise in clinical pharmacology and PK/PD analyses
- Experience planning and executing clinical development plans for new entities
- Experience conducting and supervising clinical studies including drug-drug interactions and bioavailability
- Experience with regulatory documents and clinical trial protocols
What you'll be doing
- Lead clinical pharmacology strategy and scientific aspects at program level
- Guide metabolic, dosing, and drug-drug interaction assessments with cross-functional collaborators
- Oversee protocol development, site initiations, and regulatory documentation
- Manage and develop staff, including recruitment and career advancement
- Co-lead cross-functional committees and departmental initiatives
