Role summary
Recursion seeks a Director of Clinical Pharmacology to lead pharmacology strategy and execution across rare disease and oncology programs. The role encompasses clinical study design, regulatory document authorship, cross-functional collaboration, and pharmacokinetic modeling to accelerate drug development. Candidates require a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences, M.D. with clinical pharmacology expertise, or Pharm.D. with fellowship, plus 5–9+ years of biotech/pharma experience.

- Demonstrated leadership of clinical pharmacology aspects across drug development lifecycle
- Proficiency with WinNonlin, Monolix, NONMEM, R, or similar modeling software
- Ability to conduct PK, PK-PD, and PK-safety analyses including population PK and modeling simulations
- Experience preparing regulatory submissions and interacting with health authorities
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills
What you'll be doing
- Develop clinical pharmacology and pharmacometric strategies for rare disease and oncology programs
- Design clinical studies from Phase 1-3 with pharmacology input and expertise
- Author clinical pharmacology sections for regulatory documents including IB, IND, and NDA submissions
- Collaborate with clinical, translational, preclinical, and due diligence teams on drug development
- Oversee modeling and simulation analyses to support dose selection and exposure-response decisions
