Agilent seeks a Decision Support Data Scientist to deliver analytical insights for global manufacturing leadership. This role combines statistical modeling, machine learning, and business acumen to translate operational data into actionable performance narratives and strategic recommendations for the Manufacturing Analytics and Strategy Execution team.

What they're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in data science, decision science, manufacturing analytics, or business analytics
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, or R programming and enterprise visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
  • Strong expertise in statistics, forecasting, diagnostic analytics, machine learning, and AI methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to define, validate, and communicate KPIs, baselines, and performance metrics to senior leaders
  • Experience framing complex business problems, testing hypotheses, and developing executive-level decision support analyses
  • Ability to work with complex enterprise data systems and assess data quality, consistency, and limitations

What you'll be doing

  • Own analytical quality and integrity of Control Tower insights, ensuring accuracy, explainability, and business relevance
  • Translate operational data into performance narratives, driver analyses, forecasts, scenarios, and early-warning signals
  • Develop and validate analytical models across productivity, quality, delivery, cost, and manufacturing network performance
  • Build and deploy analytical prototypes using Python, SQL, R, and cloud technologies with documented methods and validation
  • Monitor deployed analytics for performance drift and accuracy, recommending recalibration or enhancement as needed
