Role summary
Six-month co-op position within the Pharmacometrics team, running January–June 2027. The role focuses on developing quantitative systems pharmacology models, exploring AI/machine learning applications, and conducting model-based meta-analyses to support drug development in the autoimmune therapeutic area.
What they're looking for
- Ph.D. candidate (3rd year or above) in quantitative, computational, or mechanistic modeling discipline
- Proficiency in R, Python, MATLAB, or similar scientific computing languages
- Experience developing or applying mathematical and systems biology models to biological questions
- Strong quantitative reasoning and scientific problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret biological, preclinical, or clinical datasets
- Current enrollment in accredited academic program; legal U.S. work authorization
What you'll be doing
- Develop and refine mechanistic quantitative systems pharmacology models for drug discovery programs
- Evaluate artificial intelligence and machine learning approaches to improve QSP modeling workflows
- Conduct model-based meta-analyses to generate quantitative evidence for portfolio strategy
- Analyze and integrate preclinical and clinical data to support model development
- Prepare internal presentations and external posters or manuscripts documenting work progress
Compensation$29.00–$33.00 per hour
