Role summary
Amgen seeks a Cardiovascular Key Account Manager in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to develop and execute strategic plans for assigned healthcare accounts. The role involves managing relationships with key opinion leaders, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving utilization of cardiovascular products across inpatient and ambulatory settings.
What they're looking for
- Doctorate degree with 2+ years sales or account management experience
- Master's degree with 4+ years sales or account management experience
- Bachelor's degree with 6+ years sales or account management experience
- 3+ years account management and/or public payor experience strongly preferred
- Cardiology experience including dyslipidemia, heart failure, and acute coronary syndromes
- Knowledge of hospital committee structure, P&T processes, and reimbursement systems
- Understanding of CMS policies, Medicare, and healthcare payor systems
What you'll be doing
- Serve as strategic lead for assigned key accounts, executing strategies to engage priority providers
- Develop comprehensive account plans aligned to cardiovascular business unit strategy
- Meet routinely with opinion leaders in cardiology, lipidology, pharmacy, and P&T committees
- Coordinate pull-through initiatives and access strategies across field teams and sales colleagues
- Provide field intelligence, market insights, and recommendations to analytics and market access teams
