Role summary
Amgen seeks a Cardiovascular Key Account Manager for the Atlanta territory to develop and execute strategic account plans with health systems and key opinion leaders. The role focuses on driving appropriate utilization of cardiovascular products through compliant engagement across inpatient and ambulatory care settings.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of sales or account management experience
- Master's degree plus 4 years of related sales or account management experience
- Doctorate degree plus 2 years of sales or account management experience
- 3+ years of account management and/or public payor experience strongly preferred
- Cardiology experience including dyslipidemia and heart failure highly preferred
- Knowledge of hospital committee structure, P&T process, and reimbursement mechanisms
- Understanding of Medicare, CMS policies, and payor systems
What you'll be doing
- Assess business environment and develop comprehensive account plans for assigned key accounts aligned to cardiovascular strategy
- Lead relationship-building with opinion leaders in cardiology, pharmacy, P&T committees, and hospital decision-makers
- Coordinate pull-through initiatives and implementation programs across field teams to drive product utilization
- Monitor account performance, market dynamics, and identify barriers to access and utilization
- Present MAC-approved data and ensure compliant engagement across multiple touchpoints within health systems
