Role summary
ICON seeks a Capability Development Specialist to work with cross-functional stakeholders on trial data capabilities and strategic priorities. The role involves defining functional requirements, managing data delivery changes, and advancing trial data maturity within a clinical research organization supporting Takeda.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree or international equivalent; advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years business analysis, data analysis, or data modeling experience
- 3+ years life sciences experience, clinical trial management preferred
- Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and clinical trial operations
- Understanding of GXP requirements, 21 CFR Part 11, and validation methodologies
- Strong cross-functional communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in matrixed organizations
What you'll be doing
- Collaborate with GDO, R&D, and stakeholders to define trial data capability requirements aligned with strategy
- Develop working relationships with BPO/PEL leads to ensure data roadmap priorities are delivered
- Execute and integrate small to large-scale changes and requirements in project data delivery
- Identify opportunities to streamline business processes using analytical approaches
- Ensure documentation compliance with Takeda QMS and software/project lifecycle standards
