Role summary
Amgen seeks a Business Performance Manager to oversee project controls across the Technology and Data Portfolio. The role involves managing budgets, schedules, risks, and reporting for complex capital programs while partnering with project managers and cross-functional teams.

- Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience in engineering, construction management, business, or finance
- PMP, EVP, PSP, or PMI-SP certification strongly preferred
- Expertise in cost engineering, scheduling, earned value management, and risk analysis
- Advanced proficiency with project controls software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
- Strong Excel and data analytics skills; familiarity with Power BI or Tableau preferred
- Experience leading project controls in biotech, pharma, or manufacturing environments
What you'll be doing
- Develop, track, and manage project budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis with cost control oversight
- Oversee integrated master schedules for complex programs, ensuring schedule logic and critical path optimization
- Facilitate risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies; maintain risk registers and reports
- Prepare monthly project controls reports and provide leadership with data insights for decision support
- Partner with project managers, finance, procurement, and stakeholders to ensure compliance and alignment
