Role summary
Merit Medical seeks a field-based Business Development Manager for its oncology division in the Southeast to drive adoption of capital equipment technologies. This regional role partners with sales teams to identify, advance, and close complex hospital and health system opportunities while supporting account executives and cross-functional teams.

- Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, healthcare, or related field
- 3-5 years of medical device or healthcare technology capital sales experience
- Demonstrated success selling complex products into hospitals and health systems
- Experience navigating hospital approval processes and building ROI models
- Strong executive presence, communication, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; ability to travel extensively
What you'll be doing
- Identify, qualify, and advance capital opportunities for SCOUT MD and OneMark technologies across the region
- Develop and execute regional business development strategies in partnership with leadership to drive adoption and revenue growth
- Navigate hospital and health system capital approval pathways including committees and executive decision-makers
- Build financial justifications and business cases translating clinical and economic value for customers
- Coordinate product evaluations and implementation planning with internal and external stakeholders
