Role summary
Merck's Chemical Commercialization Technology department seeks an Associate Scientist to develop safe, robust processes for small molecule active pharmaceutical ingredients through laboratory experimentation, process characterization, and technology transfer to manufacturing facilities.

What you'll be doing
- Perform laboratory and kilo-scale wet chemistry experimentation for API process characterization
- Apply Quality Risk Management methodologies and design of experiments for process development
- Lead technology transfer activities from laboratory to commercial manufacturing facilities
- Support manufacturing operations and scale-up activities onsite
- Ensure compliance with cGMPs, Good Documentation Practices, and participate in risk assessments
