Role summary
Gilead Sciences' Oncology department seeks an Associate or Senior Associate Scientist to support the discovery and development of novel immuno-oncology therapies. The role involves conducting pre-clinical experiments, developing cell-based assays, and characterizing immune engager candidates through functional studies and flow cytometry analysis.

- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant research experience
- Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant research experience
- Experience developing and running cell-based assays, including T cell killing assays
- Proficiency with flow cytometry, western blot, ELISA, and molecular biology techniques
- Hands-on experience with gene manipulation methods (RNAi, CRISPR/Cas9, transfection)
- Strong technical skills in immune cell characterization and cancer immunology preferred
What you'll be doing
- Independently execute and analyze pre-clinical studies supporting immune engager candidate characterization across multiple projects
- Develop novel, complex cell-based assays to model tumor biology and immune responses
- Conduct mechanism of action studies using functional and flow cytometry-based approaches
- Contribute figures and data to research reports, manuscripts, and regulatory filings
- Present findings and scientific data to team and departmental meetings
