Role summary

Abbott seeks an Associate Medical Director for Medical Affairs to provide clinical and scientific expertise supporting diagnostic product development, regulatory compliance, and post-market safety. The role works across R&D, Clinical Affairs, and Regulatory teams to ensure product efficacy and patient safety throughout the product lifecycle in the Core Lab Division.

What you'll be doing

Provide medical oversight and scientific support for diagnostic product development from concept through commercialization
Evaluate clinical data, product performance, and safety signals to identify risks and recommend corrective actions
Partner with R&D, Regulatory, and Quality teams to incorporate clinical requirements into product design and risk management
Review adverse events, complaints, and post-market surveillance data to assess safety concerns
Support regulatory submissions and interactions with FDA and international health authorities
