Role summary
Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks an Associate Director of Supply Chain to develop upstream supply strategy for the Pain portfolio and drive end-to-end strategic initiatives. - 8+ years of progressive supply chain industry experience
- Expertise in S&OP, supply planning, and product launch support
- ERP/MRP systems experience (Oracle OPM, Maestro Kinaxis, Veeva, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations (cGMP, GCP, GDP, import/export)
- Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder influence capabilities
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with continuous improvement mindset
What you'll be doing
- Develop and integrate upstream supply chain strategy with program objectives across functions
- Lead S&OP planning process and serve as liaison between Commercial, Finance, and Operations
- Conduct scenario planning and data-driven analysis to balance demand and supply constraints
- Manage order lifecycle, inventory strategies, and coordination with internal and external logistics partners
- Design and oversee business processes, SOPs, and support supply chain risk mitigation
