Role summary
Cytokinetics seeks an Associate Director of FP&A to serve as the strategic finance business partner to its Commercial organization during transition to a commercial-stage company. The role will drive financial planning, budget management, and decision support for Sales, Marketing, and Commercial Operations functions.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
- 10+ years progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience with commercial partnering
- Commercial-stage biotechnology or pharmaceutical background
- Demonstrated experience managing commercial operating expenses and headcount
- Advanced financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting capabilities
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills with senior influence ability
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
What you'll be doing
- Serve as primary finance business partner to Sales, Marketing, and Commercial Operations leadership
- Lead annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning for commercial expenses and headcount
- Deliver variance analysis and recommend resource allocation improvements to leadership
- Provide investment decision support on field force sizing, promotional spend, and launch readiness
- Develop executive presentations and analyses for Finance leadership, executive team, and Board
