Role summary

Merck seeks an Associate Director to lead data engineering efforts for sterile drug product development within the Digital Sciences and Clinical Supply organization. Ability to deliver complex solutions under compressed timelines in dynamic environments

What you'll be doing

Build partnerships with SPD experimentalists, engineers, and scientists to define data solution requirements for modeling pipelines
Design and implement scalable data pipelines ingesting experimental and process data from sterile product development teams
Translate data-driven model requirements into analysis-ready, feature-rich datasets tailored to modeling needs
Define data standards, metadata schemas, and ontologies ensuring SPD data interoperability with modeling workflows
Develop dashboards, reports, visualizations, and automate data ingestion from lab instruments and manufacturing systems
