Role summary

Biogen seeks an Associate Director of Country & Site Operations to lead and develop a team supporting global clinical trials. This role manages Clinical Country & Site Leads, Site Managers, and feasibility staff across all trial phases, ensuring quality execution, stakeholder alignment, and operational excellence in a complex matrix environment.

8+ years clinical research, development, or operations experience with country/site focus

Experience managing clinical trials in outsourced, CRO, or hybrid delivery models

Proficiency with digital tools for virtual team management and performance visibility
Ability to assess workload, prioritize resources, and maintain accountability across geographies

What you'll be doing

Provide direct line management, performance reviews, and development planning for CCSLs, Site Managers, and feasibility team members
Build team capability through structured onboarding, mentoring, and succession planning
Allocate staff across country and study portfolios based on priorities, capability, and development needs
Oversee quality and consistency of country intelligence, investigator engagement, and sponsor oversight delivery
Serve as escalation point for country, site, investigator, data integrity, and quality concerns; route to appropriate stakeholders
