Role summary

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals seeks an Associate Director to develop and oversee a clinical monitoring program for MASH trials. This role manages an internal CRA field team across a US region while providing risk-based oversight of monitoring activities and fostering site relationships to ensure trial excellence.

Proven track record managing CRAs across multiple phases and therapeutic areas
Experience developing training programs, systems, and tools for CRAs
Proficiency with Veeva Vault systems (TMF, CTMS)
Ability to travel up to 50% within regional US territory; located within one hour of airport

What you'll be doing

Develop and implement sponsor monitoring oversight program in partnership with Senior Director
Conduct risk-based remote and on-site monitoring oversight visits within assigned US region
Build and manage high-performing internal CRA team; review schedules, reports, and expenses
Document findings, communicate with CRO partners and stakeholders, manage mitigations and CAPAs
Create monitoring documentation including SOPs, training materials, and performance dashboards
