Role summary
Six-month co-op position in the Laboratory Animals Resources division supporting non-clinical safety research and vivarium operations. Candidates will assist with animal model development, veterinary care, husbandry coordination, and regulatory compliance across multiple laboratory animal species.
What they're looking for
- Currently enrolled in or pursuing Associate's degree with hands-on experience requirement, or BS/MS in Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, Biology, Pharmacology, or related field
- Available for six consecutive months beginning in 2027 based on college program schedule
- ALAT certification preferred
- Prior in-vivo laboratory or husbandry experience preferred
- US or Puerto Rico resident; no visa sponsorship available
What you'll be doing
- Assist with clinical cases and monitoring infectious diseases in vivarium animals
- Coordinate animal husbandry activities and support regulatory compliance qualifications
- Support in vivo drug discovery and development projects across multiple species
- Participate in special projects advancing laboratory animal care practices
- Prepare and present reports on vivarium topics and training outcomes
