Role summary
Merck is recruiting interns for a 10-12 week program supporting global environmental compliance, sustainability, and stewardship initiatives. Interns will assist with regulatory implementation, site sustainability projects, and program improvements across company facilities worldwide.

- Currently pursuing bachelor's or master's degree in environmental science, engineering, safety, biotechnology, chemistry, biology, or related technical field
- Completed at least two years of college coursework
- Strong critical thinking, communication, problem-solving, and computer skills
- Ability to receive and implement verbal or written direction
- Ability to identify process inefficiencies and propose solutions
- Prior internship or work experience in environmental health and safety or pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred

- Perform calculations related to environmental compliance program implementation
- Review regulatory changes and assess impact to company operations
